Grantmaking Snapshot: Franklin County Fair Sound System

The county fair is an iconic Iowa tradition showcasing the hard work of youth and families and playing a vital role in the local economy. The Franklin County Fair is a destination for thousands of fairgoers each year who come to see the exhibits and blue ribbons and to enjoy the multitude of entertainment opportunities. The Franklin County Fair and Convention Center received a $10,000 grant in 2022 from the Franklin County Community Foundation for a new sound system, which allows fairgoers to better hear important announcements and enhances the quality of free entertainment events, improving the experience and increasing participation.
