The Iowa County Community Foundation (ICCF) held its 2026 grant awards celebration on Tuesday, July 14, at Parnell City Hall, announcing the distribution of $140,696.96 to 19 local organizations through its 2026 grant cycle. Grants were awarded to projects improving quality of life and creating long-term impact in Iowa County communities.
Grants were presented by impact priority. A full list of funded projects is below:
Health & Safety
- City of Williamsburg – Patrol Cars Computer Upgrade – $6,888.00
- Hawkeye Area Community Action Program, Inc – Meal Delivery Vehicle Replacement – $5,000.00
- Iowa County – EMS - EMT Training for Volunteer First Responders – $8,000.00
- North English Community Center – Kitchen - Storage Renovation – $10,000.00
Opportunity & Access
- HLV Community School District – Warrior Works - Student Enterprise – $6,390.00
- Rural Employment Alternatives, Inc. – Kitchen Remodel – $12,000.00
Youth Empowerment
- English Valleys Community School District – CTE Department - Printers, Materials, & Equipment – $3,500.00
- Families Helping Families of Iowa – Support for Foster Children in Iowa County – $7,000.00
- Marengo Community Development – Furnishings for Childcare – $4,000.00
- Williamsburg Community Child Care – Play-Based Learning at W4CS – $3,396.00

- City of North English – Knoll Ridge Pool Restoration – $15,000.00
- City of Parnell – City Hall - Electronic Messaging Sign – $10,000.00
- City of Victor – Outdoor Basketball Court Expansion – $7,750.00
- Parents and Leaders for Students (PALS) – Electronic Sign Upgrade – $10,000.00
- Pickleball Iowa County – Outdoor Pickleball Court Surface & Striping – $5,000.00
- Safe Haven of Iowa County – Canine Enrichment & Adoption Enclosure – $5,603.96
Grants were recommended by the Iowa County Community Foundation’s governing committee, composed of volunteers committed to improving the well-being of Iowa County residents. The 2026 governing committee includes: Corienne Dally, Paulette Dietrich, Erin Eichhorn, Trenton Forrest, Ellie Garringer, Justin Gingerich, Rhonda Glandorf, Ann Krakow, and Wendell Marsh. ICCF is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, which provides administrative, investment, and technical support to enhance the local foundation’s impact. The 2027 ICCF grant cycle opens March 1, 2027, with a deadline of April 15, 2027. Application guidelines and materials can be found at www.iowaccf.org.
