The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (CFNEIA) has announced the promotion of Liz Kurtt to Chief Financial Officer and Nicole Stuart to Director of Finance, strengthening the organization’s financial leadership team and affirming its commitment to strong fiscal stewardship.
Kurtt has served as CFNEIA’s Vice President of Finance and Operations since September 2019. In her new role as Chief Financial Officer, she will maintain the financial and operational integrity of the organization by leading a broad scope of responsibilities, including financial development and analysis, cash flow management, budgeting, and financial reporting. The role also includes human resources, operational oversight, and policy development.
"Liz is an exceptional leader with deep financial expertise and a strong understanding of nonprofit operations,” said Kaye Englin, President and CEO of CFNEIA. “Her strategic thinking and steady leadership have already made a significant impact, and I’m confident she will continue to elevate our work and mission.”
Before joining CFNEIA, Kurtt served for over 25 years with Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI), the state’s largest human service organization, where she held key leadership roles including Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer.
Nicole Stuart, who has been with CFNEIA for over 15 years, has been promoted to Director of Finance. Stuart’s experience and dedication to the Foundation have played a critical role in the organization’s financial success and operational excellence. In her new role, she will oversee day-to-day financial operations, support budget planning, and financial reporting.
"These promotions reflect the deep talent within our organization and position us strongly for the future,” said Englin. "Liz and Nicole bring complementary strengths and an unwavering commitment to CFNEIA’s mission and the communities we serve.”
