Fund Established with Community Foundation to Support Algona Public Library

Kossuth County Community Foundation
March 10, 2023

The Algona Public Library Endowment Fund has been established with the Kossuth County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa. This permanent endowment fund is invested and grows over time, providing a long-term, stable source of income to carry out the mission of the Algona Public Library.

The Algona Public Library is a hub of connection and activity, both in person and online. The library provides a variety of spaces for individuals and groups to relax, pursue interests and collaborate with others. “We are here to help people learn, grow and live life to the fullest,” says Lori Walton, director of Algona Public Library. “We do that by providing the resources, support and space for people to seek information and build connections with others. We do our best to serve a diverse population of guests from every age, level of income, ethnicity and range of abilities.”

Financial gifts of cash/check and stock are accepted through the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, 3117 Greenhill Circle, Cedar Falls, IA, 50613, which is the administrative office of the Kossuth County Community Foundation. Checks to the endowment fund should be made payable to the Algona Public Library Endowment Fund. Gifts can also be made on the Community Foundation’s secure website at fund.cfneia.org/algonapubliclibrary. Gifts to the endowment fund are eligible to receive a 25% state tax credit through the Endow Iowa program. Learn more about the program at www.cfneia.org/endowiowa.
