Scholarship Criteria

Two-year scholarships for students graduating from Union Community High School who will be attending an accredited university, junior college, or trade school in the state of Iowa and who demonstrate the abilities required to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. Priority given to students who demonstrate involvement in community service and who demonstrate financial need.

Give to the Fund

Financial gifts to the Earlene J. McBride Scholarship Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
