Scholarship Criteria

One-year scholarships for students graduating from Don Bosco High School, and who are pursuing a degree in the health sciences, nursing, or related medical field, with preference for those pursuing a nursing degree. Recipients must demonstrate a proven work ethic, with preference for experience working in or volunteering in the health field. Additional preference for students with GPAs between 2.5 and 3.5.

Give to the Fund

Financial gifts to the Merle and Barb Hershberger Nursing Scholarship Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
