Horizons Unlimited has been helping individuals who have disabilities become the best they can be for more than 50 years! Its mission is “providing opportunities for our Horizons family to develop their full potential in a positive atmosphere.”

Incorporated in 1969, Horizons Unlimited of Palo Alto County, Inc. has expanded over the years to become the second largest nonprofit organization in Palo Alto County. Horizons Unlimited serves 45 individuals and employs around 50 part-time and full-time staff.

Horizons Unlimited provides a unique variety of programs for our special individuals where they focus on the abilities of people with disabilities. They offer residential services where individuals live in group homes, apartments, or independent community housing. Each individual is evaluated on his or her abilities and then placed in a home that fits his or her supervisory needs.

Horizons Unlimited offers a number of services. Through its community employment program, individuals work for community employers with supervision as needed from a Horizons Unlimited job coach. Horizons Unlimited also offers integrated activities, which provide members the opportunity to achieve a variety of community-oriented goals of the member’s choosing.
