Scholarship Criteria

Four-year scholarships for students graduating from Independence and East Buchanan High Schools, who will be attending an accredited university, junior college, or trade school and who demonstrate the abilities required to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. Students must display financial need and be in the top 50% of their class. Students must maintain a GPA of 2.75 or higher to be eligible for second, third, and fourth year payments.

Give to the Fund

Financial gifts to the Edna Mae and Don Adams Scholarship Fund with the Buchanan County Community Foundation allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
