The Robert J. and Judith E. Brown Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa supports both North Star Community Services and the Black Hawk County discretionary grant process with the Community Foundation.

North Star Community Services empowers persons with disabilities through adult day services and supported community living services in northeast Iowa and beyond. North Star Community Services helps people with a disability to live enriched, full lives in their communities. 

The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa’s discretionary grant process allows the Foundation to continually respond to the current and unique needs of Black Hawk County. Gifts to this process provide the Foundation with flexibility to fund charitable programs and projects in the community to explore the arts and celebrate diversity, support healthy lifestyles, protect natural resources, educate future generations, preserve the past, build hope for tomorrow, ensure a safe place to live, and improve the quality of life for all.
