Scholarship Criteria

One-year scholarships for students graduating from Waterloo public high schools who intend to enroll as full-time student at an accredited public or private university, college, vocational, or technical school with preference given to those students going to an post-secondary school in Iowa. Students must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and must demonstrate leadership qualities. Priority will be given to individuals pursuing degrees in math, science, or nursing.

Give to the Fund

Financial gifts to the WCSF: Dr. Walter and Ruthie Cunningham Scholarship Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
