Scholarship Criteria
One-year scholarship for students graduating from Clear Lake High School, located in Clear Lake, Iowa, who will be attending an accredited college, university, junior college, or trade school and who demonstrate the abilities required to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. Priority will be given to students who have financial need and a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
Give to the Fund
Financial gifts to the Thomas E. and Janice A. Nelson Scholarship Fund with the Cerro Gordo County Community Foundation allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
