Scholarship Criteria
One-year scholarships will be made annually to students graduating from Crestwood High School, Charles City High School, New Hampton High School, Osage High School or Riceville High School and who consider Elma or Alta Vista, Iowa, to be considered their home town. Students must be planning on attending an accredited university, junior college, or trade school within the state of Iowa. Involvement in extra-curricular activities, community service work, and most importantly the student's financial need will be considered.
Give to the Fund
Financial gifts to the Peoples Savings Bank: Elma Area Scholarship Fund with the Elma Area Community Foundation allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
