Scholarship Criteria
One-year scholarships for students enrolled in college and pursuing a degree in Recreation or Leisure Services. Students must have originally graduated from a Black Hawk County high school. To apply for this scholarship, contact Waterloo Leisure Services.
Give to the Fund
Financial gifts to the Margaret Short Memorial Scholarship Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa allow Waterloo Leisure Services to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
