Scholarship Criteria
A one-year scholarship to a student in their second year of study at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa who demonstrates financial need. First preference is given to students enrolled in the college's diesel technology program. If there are no eligible students in the diesel technology program, preference will then be given to students in the nursing program.
Give to the Fund
Financial gifts to the Marvin and Lora Scholarship Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa allow the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
