Scholarship Criteria
Four-year scholarships for students graduating from Crestwood High School in Cresco, Iowa, and who will be seeking a nursing degree at an accredited university, junior college, or trade school. Preference should be given to students who demonstrate financial need and have been involved in extracurricular activities at Crestwood High School. Students selected should demonstrate the abilities required to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. Scholarship grants will be award with 20% of the amount available to grant from the fund being awarded the first year and the remaining portion being split equally for the remaining three years.
Give to the Fund
Financial gifts to the Jean Marie Peterson Scholarship Fund with the Winneshiek County Community Foundation allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
