Ball Fields and Pickleball Courts (Decorah Athletic Complex) Project Fund
This fund has been established with the Winneshiek County Community Foundation to support the construction of new recreational facilities in Decorah. This exciting project is spearheaded by the City of Decorah and the Decorah Parks and Recreation Department to expand community opportunities for sports, recreation, and events. This new amenity for the City of Decorah will be called the Rowley Sports Complex.
The project includes the construction of four 280’ ball fields with dug outs and scoreboards, eight pickleball courts, lighting for two fields and all eight pickleball courts, Concession/Bathroom and Storage building, future playground, 104-stall gravel parking lot with paved ADA accessible stalls and a convenient drop off area, donor plaza and facility corridor, bike station area, 3 acre water infiltration/detention basin and 5 acre prairie with a mowed trail extension. The existing dog park will remain in the current location. Depending on funding, future additions will include even more amenities!
