Grantmaking Snapshot: Otter Creek Lake Restoration
The Tama County Conservation Board is in the midst of a three-phase project to improve water quality, wildlife habitat, and availability of outdoor recreation at Otter Creek Lake and Park. After receiving local grant support, Tama County was able to complete Phase I of the project which included the planning and engineering design for the restoration of the lake and park. The project is now in Phase II, permitting and construction, and has moved one step closer to increasing the quality of life in Tama County.
