We’re pleased to share that, thanks to an outpouring of support, the Endow Iowa Tax Credit program will be available in 2026 and is fully intact through 2025. While there will be changes to the program in 2026, we are excited that this important philanthropic program will continue to make an impact in Iowa communities.

What’s Changing in 2026?

Effective January 1, 2026:

• The Endow Iowa Tax Credit allocation will be reduced to $3.5M, from $6M in prior years.  
• The maximum credit per taxpayer will be reduced from $100,000 to $50,000.
• Gifts to corporate-named endowments will no longer qualify.

2025 Credits Still Available

With changes to the Endow Iowa program set to begin January 1, 2026, we anticipate high demand for 2025 credits. Credits currently remain, and we strongly encourage donors to make their 2025 Endow Iowa eligible gifts as early as possible to ensure access to this valuable incentive.
