Welcome, Paula Hill – CFNEIA’s New Charitable Advisor

Posted on October 16, 2025

The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (CFNEIA) is excited to welcome Paula Hill as our new Charitable Advisor. Paula brings a deep passion for community service, strong nonprofit connections, and an enthusiasm for helping others make an impact across our region.

Paula’s path to CFNEIA was inspired by her long-standing involvement in the Cedar Valley’s nonprofit sector. Through local events, workshops, and volunteer work, she has had many opportunities to connect with the CFNEIA team.

“Each time I engaged with CFNEIA, I was impressed with their professionalism and enthusiasm for what they do,” Paula shared. “Joining this team felt like a natural next step in continuing to make a difference in the community I love.”

In her new role, Paula will work closely with donors, nonprofits, and community leaders to strengthen philanthropy across northeast Iowa.

“I’m excited about the impact I’ll be able to make here in my hometown and throughout northeast Iowa in areas like workforce readiness, affordable housing, and support for immigrants and refugees,” she said. “I’m also looking forward to expanding my leadership abilities by collaborating with all the amazing leaders we have on our volunteer committees.”

A proud Cedar Valley native, Paula’s appreciation for the people of northeast Iowa runs deep. “Early in my career, I traveled frequently throughout the U.S., and it was rare to find a place so rich in community and nonprofit resources to uplift all populations,” she said. “The values of the people who live here are truly special.”

Personally and professionally, Paula is inspired by those who approach life with curiosity and optimism. “Engaging with people and organizations that have a growth mindset and passion motivates me,” she said. “We could all use more ‘Ted Lassoisms’ in our lives!”

When she’s not working, Paula enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, watching basketball (Go Panthers!), traveling, gardening, and enjoying good wine. One fun fact that surprises most people?

“Our family has eight kids and five dogs, yikes, I know! Only one of the eight still lives at home,” Paula laughed.

As Paula begins her first year with CFNEIA, her goal is clear: “I want to make a difference in the lives of those I work with and the communities we serve by bringing awareness and support to the areas of greatest need.”

We are thrilled to have Paula’s experience, energy, and heart for service on our team. Please join us in welcoming her to the CFNEIA family!
