The Iowa County Community Foundation (ICCF) announced its 2022 grant awards distribution of $130,379.95 to 13 projects of organizations serving Iowa County through its 2022 grant cycle.

Arts & Culture

• The Iowa County Fair, Bleachers for Entertainment, $20,000
• Williamsburg Community School District, Williamsburg Band Inventory Expansion, $9,610.99

Community Betterment

• City of Marengo, Marengo Swimming Pool, $7,398
• City of North English, Knoll Ridge Pool Resurfacing, $15,000
• City of Parnell, Community Center and Playground Improvement (Phase 3), $15,000
• City of Victor, Water Works Park, $10,000

Education & Youth Development

• Parents and Leaders for Students (PALS), Video and Sound Amplification for Mary Welsh Elementary, $20,868.20

Environment & Animal Welfare

• Safe Haven of Iowa County, Iowa County/Marengo City Pound Kennel Replacements, $6,000

Health

• Iowa County – Board of Supervisors, Patient Immobilization Project, $3,002.76

Human Service

• Amana Church Society, Amana Food Pantry Facility Renovation, $8,500
• Domestic Violence Intervention Program, Direct Aid for Victim-Survivors, $5,000
• Families Helping Families of Iowa, Program Support for Iowa County Children in Foster Care, $3,000
• Rural Employment Alternatives, Inc., Van Purchase, $7,000

Decisions on grant awards are determined by a local committee, which consists of volunteers from Iowa County. Committee members include: Cassie Bott, Mikaela Gehring, Natasha Hauschilt, Emilie Hoppe, Josh Humphrey (chair), Grayson Jones, Adam Krebill, Bonnie Romine and Aaron Sandersfeld.

Grants are awarded through ICCF’s competitive grant process to projects in the program areas of arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, health and human service. Grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) designated organization or government entity serving Iowa County in order to be considered for funding. The 2023 grant cycle opens January 1 with an application deadline of April 1. The grant guidelines and application can be found at www.iowaccf.org.
