Scholarship Criteria

One-year scholarships for students graduating from Waterloo West High School and Columbus High School, both located in Waterloo, Iowa, who will be attending an accredited university, college, junior college, or trade school within the State of Iowa. Students must demonstrate the abilities required to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. Previous recipients may reapply in subsequent years.

Financial gifts to the The Sinnott Family Scholarship Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
