Scholarship Criteria

One-year scholarships for students graduating from Emmetsburg High School who will be attending an accredited university, junior college or trade school, and who demonstrate the abilities to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. Students must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher and be enrolled full time at the post-secondary institution. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate leadership, are involved in extra-curricular activities at school, serve the community through volunteer work, and/or display good character. Give to the Fund

Financial gifts to the Emmetsburg Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund with the Palo Alto Community Foundation allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
