Scholarship Criteria

One-year scholarships for female students graduating from Clear Lake High School who have attended and been confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and will be attending an accredited university, junior college, or trade school. Recipients must demonstrate the abilities required to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. They must have served their community through volunteer work and been active in both school and church activities.

Give to the Fund

Financial gifts to the Nancy Whaley Memorial Scholarship Fund with the Cerro Gordo County Community Foundation allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
