He previously was Manager of Economic Development and Data Center Services\, Senior Community and Economic\, assisting data centers and other large users with location and expansion decisions and communities across Iowa with economic development.   \nKiley’s prior economic development experience includes leading the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance in his hometown of Mount Pleasant\, Iowa\, and the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation\, a regional economic development organization in northwest Iowa. In his economic development roles\, he has supported business growth projects generating several billion dollars in capital investment and creating and retaining more than 1\,000 jobs. Kiley has also been President and CEO of the conservation nonprofit Trees Forever\, worked as a newspaper reporter and editor\, and served in the United States Army. He is a frequent speaker at economic and community development conferences and events in Iowa and the Upper Midwest.  \nKiley and his wife\, Carry\, live in Shueyville\, Iowa. Carry teaches English language learners in the College Community School District. The couple has a daughter\, Carson (25)\, who works in the sustainability industry\, and two sons\, Caleb (23)\, a recent graduate of Kirkwood Community College\, and Sawyer (20)\, an ascending junior at Iowa State University. They also have an unreasonably adorable sheepadoodle named El Mago.
