SUMMARY:Women for Good: From Surviving to Building\, Financial Empowerment for Women & Girls
DESCRIPTION:Financial empowerment is about more than knowing how to create a budget or save money. For women and girls\, the journey toward financial security can be shaped by access to knowledge\, resources\, opportunity\, stable housing\, career pathways\, homeownership\, and the ability to build assets for the future. \nJoin Women for Good for From Surviving to Building: Financial Empowerment for Women & Girls\, an engaging community conversation exploring what it takes for women and girls to move from financial knowledge and stability to opportunity\, ownership\, and generational impact. \nThe conversation will follow the framework: KNOWLEDGE → STABILITY → OPPORTUNITY → OWNERSHIP → GENERATIONAL IMPACT \nRather than a traditional presentation\, the program will bring together financial wellness expertise and nonprofit perspectives to explore the realities women\, girls\, young people\, and families face; the barriers that can make financial progress difficult; and what can help individuals move beyond meeting immediate needs toward building long-term financial security. \nFeatured Moderator: Kalola Roby\, AFC®️\, CFEI®️ Financial Empowerment Partner\, Empower Your Value \nKalola will help set the stage around financial wellness and empowerment and moderate the community conversation. \nCommunity Perspectives: Participating organizations represent different points along the financial empowerment journey: \n\nJunior Achievement of Eastern Iowa — youth financial education and building strong financial foundations early\nHouse of Hope — stability and self-sufficiency for women and families\nIowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity — homeownership\, asset building\, and long-term financial security\n\nTogether\, these perspectives will help explore the journey from developing financial knowledge early in life to achieving stability\, accessing opportunities\, building assets\, and creating greater financial security for future generations. \nLunch will be provided for attendees who join us in person. Virtual option is available for anyone who can't be in person.
