Scholarship Criteria
One-year scholarships for students graduating from Algona High School who will be attending an accredited university, junior college, or trade school, and who demonstrate the abilities required to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. Students selected need to have a 3.0 GPA or higher, have served their community through volunteer work, and demonstrate financial need.
Give to the Fund
Financial gifts to the Zach Purcell Foundation Scholarship Fund with the Kossuth County Community Foundation allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
