Scholarship Criteria
One-year scholarships for students graduating from Waterloo public high schools or for previous recipients of this scholarship (these students will need to reapply). Priority will be given to individuals who plan to attend a post-secondary education institution within Iowa, who demonstrate strong desire and abilities necessary to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen, and who have demonstrated commitment to civic and community service.
Give to the Fund
Financial gifts to the Don and Shirley Kniss Scholarship Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
