Supporting Our Communities and Nonprofit Partners
The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa and its partners understand the COVID-19 pandemic is still impacting lives across our nation. However, as the initial disaster response needs dissipate, we begin to wind down disaster response work. The response efforts, beginning in March 2020, to assist our nonprofit partners and the people they serve have produced tremendous impacts. These have only been possible through incredible partnerships, generous people, and resilient nonprofits. The emergency response across our region was a new level of partnership and we are honored to have been a leader in the Cedar Valley and our affiliate communities. This virus has resulted in heartbreaking loss of life and economic hardship. It will undoubtably have a long-lasting impact across our 20-county region and we will continue to be part of recovery efforts.
Thank you to all those who donated to COVID-19 response funds of the Foundation and those who supported our nonprofit partners. Your generosity made all the difference. Thank you to everyone serving on the front lines, including nonprofits organizations and staff, for giving so much of yourselves and providing essential services during this time. To everyone, please stay safe, please continue to follow recommendations from the Centers for Disease and Control Prevention (CDC), and do what you can to keep others safe. Keeping our communities healthy and strong through the ongoing pandemic can only be done together.
