Veridian Credit Union Fund

Veridian Credit Union® is pleased once again to partner with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa in announcing the 2013 Veridian Credit Union Fund, in support of Veridian’s Financial Literacy and Inclusive Community programs. In addition, Veridian Rapid Response grants will be awarded from the Fund.

The Financial Literacy program’s goal is to improve financial literacy among adults and children.

The Inclusive Community program’s goal is to create a community that is welcoming and inclusive of all individuals. In order to create a more inclusive environment, Veridian’s current focus and priority is on the following underrepresented groups:

  • Persons with disabilities
  • Persons of modest means, low income
  • Persons of a minority group (African American, Asian, Bosnian, Latino and Native American)

Rapid Response Grants will be available to help certain organizations (which have been approved through the Veridian Credit Union Fund’s Letter of Intent Process) to:

  • Address unforeseen, emergency needs of their organizations or their clients (Ex. burglary, natural disasters, etc.)
  • Respond to immediate or time-sensitive solutions to urgent issue(s)
