One goal of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa is to build stronger, healthier, more vibrant communities across the region. We utilize several strategies to make this goal a reality, including effective grantmaking and offering scholarship opportunities to promising students.

Grantmaking

The Community Foundation supports organizations and programs that serve the public good through our grantmaking process, awarding over $5 million in grants annually. Furthermore, the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation may proactively take the lead in identifying needs and opportunities in communities and seek out nonprofit organizations to address those needs with financial support from the Foundation.

Scholarship Opportunities

In addition, due to the generosity of our donors, the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa awards approximately 135 scholarships to students, totaling over $135,000 in annual educational financial support.

2012 scholarship application materials must be POSTMARKED by March 2, 2012.
