The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa's Legacy Society is made up of caring individuals and families who have made formal plans to leave a generous gift in the form of a will, trust, designation, or other planned gift that will have meaning and impact for years to come.

Involvement in the Legacy Society gives an individual or family the opportunity to enjoy the company of others who care about leaving a legacy to protect and strengthen the community. Each year, the Community Foundation's Legacy Society members will be recognized for their generosity at the annual Legacy Society luncheon and donor appreciation event, as well as in Community Foundation publications. The staff of the Community Foundation is available to Legacy Society members and their financial advisors to discuss questions and concerns regarding estate planning and giving. 

Members may always choose to remain anonymous in their philanthropy.  However, the Community Foundation appreciates the participation in the Legacy Society, as it can be inspiration to others and may encourage them to think about how they too could have a lasting impact of the causes they are passionate about in their community.
