VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America)

The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa is seeking an individual who will work as a VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) with responsibility to develop and implement local and statewide strategies and programs to build the capacity of local community foundation volunteers to capture the transfer of wealth in community based endowments. 

Duties include increasing awareness and understanding of community foundations, planning/implementing programming with community foundation volunteers, and growing endowment funds for charitable causes. 

Desirable candidates have experience or strong knowledge of the nonprofit sector, excellent time management and facilitation skills, and a demonstrated passion for community building. Travel required. Full-time VISTA position with benefits (annual stipend of approximately $11,136, choice of $5,550 Segal Education Award OR $1,500 end-of-service stipend, health care and more). The position begins in July and has a 12-month duration.
