Mary Ann Burk
President & CEO
email Mary Ann
It is with great honor that I serve as this Community Foundation's President & CEO. Having been active in work and as a volunteer in the community for over 40 years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of the good citizens of this area and the non-profits that work selflessly to assist charitable needs. I enjoy the opportunity to work with donors to meet their philanthropic intent and in ensuring that the dollars entrusted to the Community Foundation are wisely invested and spent. There is no greater job. I look forward to working with you. |

Finding the best means to convey who we are, what we do, and how one can become involved is all part of my effort to help reach the Foundation's philanthropic goals and strengthen our mission – For good. Sunni Swarbrick
Teen Trust Student Director
email Sunni
As Teen Trust Student Director, I coordinate a program that provides a "hands-on" philanthropic experience for 20-25 high school students from throughout Black Hawk County. Ultimately, the youth create a grant application and evaluation criteria, which assist them in determining how they will distribute $10,000 in grants to efforts happening in Black Hawk County. The experience opens all of our eyes to the incredible power of community involvement… no matter your age! |
