With this project, the Community Foundation aims to raise $100,000, by finding 1,000 donors to give $100 or 100 donors to give $1000, for an endowment fund that makes annual grants to programs which support women and girls.

Each donor is given the opportunity to write a special message in honor or memory of a special woman in their life and that woman will then be sent a certificate notifying them of the gift.

Donations of any size are welcome. Women recognized with gifts of $100 or more will be sent a certificate to notify her of your gift and she will also be recognized on our website.

Thanks to the generosity of Jean Parker and Sue Loveall, $1,000 gifts will be matched by each up to $10,000. Therefore, your gift of $1,000 may actually contribute $3,000 to the Women’s fund.

Added Benefits of Giving
Because the Women’s Fund is endowed, Endow Iowa legislation makes donors to the fund eligible for a 20% state tax credit in addition to the normal federal and state deductions for charitable giving.
